Join Project Happy Feet in our third edition of Chefs for a Cause as we bring 12 notable chefs together in one new location for a good cause!

Held at the newly-built Novotel Singapore on Stevens Hotel, the event aims to raise S$70,000 in support of the SPED Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS), a programme supported by Community Chest.

The SPED FAS provides financial assistance to needy students from special education (SPED) schools run by 13 Social Service Organisations, so that they can enjoy fully subsidized school fees, uniforms and textbooks. The scheme aims to enable low-income families that face financial difficulties and challenges to support their children with special needs.

100% of ticket and merchandise sales, and donations will be donated to SPEDFAS.

About Chefs For A Cause (CFAC)

CFAC was first organized in 2009 to raise funds for MILK (Mainly I Love Kids) and Project Happy Feet’s beneficiaries. In the inaugural event, 10 local chefs came together to whip up a three-course meal for 600 underprivileged children, and contributed recipes to a cookbook – “Recipes From The Heart” which was sold allowing 100 percent of the proceeds to go towards the beneficiaries.

The second edition of CFAC was held in 2014 with support from Swissotel Merchant Court to raise funds for Children’s Cancer Foundation. 13 notable chefs, including Christopher Tan, Daniel Sia, Forest Leong, Ivan Lim, Mohammad Shahrom, Pang Kok Keong, Petrine Fan, Robin Ho, Sebastian Ng, Shen Tan, Xu Tianmu, Yen Koh and led by Jimmy Chok whipped up a total of 36 of their signature dishes to raise over S$50,000 in support of Children’s Cancer Foundation’s education and enrichment programmes.

About Project Happy Feet

Project Happy Feet is a Singapore-based not-for-profit organisation set up since 2009 to empower the lives of underprivileged youths and children by supporting their education and training so they may break out of poverty. Run entirely by volunteers, Project Happy Feet identifies meaningful and sustainable education-related initiatives and programmes run by local non-profit organisations, fund-raises for these programmes, and supports capacity building of these organisations. To date, through fund-raising initiatives such as Chefs for a Cause, and the Project Happy Feet Slipper Race in Singapore and overseas, Project Happy Feet has raised in excess of SGD 1 million and channelled 100% of funds raised to benefit thousands of children and youth in Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines, India and Nepal.
