The weekend in the PHF office was extremely lively as PHF team members dropped by ever so often to hand in their collections from their friends and family. And each time they came in with envelopes of cash and cheques, our dear Ange who is compiling all the collections into an Excel spreadsheet smiles with glee.. She’d report – “$5K more to our target!”…. “$4.5K more to our target!”.. Indeed, the countdown was never more exciting.
To date, we still don’t know if we have reached our target. We know we are close to it. A few of our friends had pledged their donations and if these do come in before we leave, we’d definitely exceed the $30K we had aimed to raise (Yipeee!!). However, even if we didn’t hit the $30K, we all knew we did a good job, doing the best we can, in every way we could to get to our target.
But as we celebrate, we know deep inside that we really would not have done it without the support of you, our family and friends. Because of your generosity and your trust in us that we will make good use of your donations, that we are able to not only meet our target, but also spread the mission of Project Happy Feet.
