With only five days (!!!) to go till our trip, the group held our last meeting on Thursday (19/11) to get a rough idea of what to expect while in Cambodia, and how to prepare for the trip.
The three hour meeting presented us with our trip itinerary, and all that did was make us even more excited to go. Some of the activities we have lined up include an ATV ride, a hot air balloon ride, and shopping trips! We also received a packing list and guidelines on luggage restrictions.
Of course, the main purpose of this trip – to help Siem Reap’s villagers and bring joy to the kids – has not been lost on the team. After the excitement of receiving the itinerary, we got down to packing clothing for the children.
This was a four step process that involved….
1. Sorting out clothing donated by kind souls
2. Pairing a top and bottom together
3. Labelling the outfit with the age group that it is meant for
4. Wrapping up the entire package in strings
It sounds easy, but it was actually quite tedious, especially the pairing step!
