Kindness inspires kindness.
The spirit of giving clearly inspires a chain of unexpected events behind the scenes at the Project Happy Feet Slipper Race 2014 – Total Defence Edition held on 22 February 2014 at SMU School of Accountancy and Law.
After the event and having done an amazing job as emcee, Power 98FM DJ Elliot Danker was chilling out with a group of PHF volunteers when core volunteer Felicia Kang walked past the group with a collection box in her arms.
Without prompting, Elliot reached out for his wallet…
… and promptly emptied his ENTIRE WALLET’S CONTENT into the collection box!
Elliot’s selfless move inspired a chain of unexpected events.
PHF Slipper Race participant and volunteer with South East District Adult Network (SEDAN), who was chilling out with the group, also pulled out a stack of notes from her wallet and dropped them into the collection box.
Touched by Elliot’s unconditional giving, core volunteer Lin Kuek ran off to buy a PHF tshirt and presented it to Elliot as a gift.
What an inspiring impromptu chain of events!
