Press Con for PHFSR Ho Chi Minh City a success

The press conference for Project Happy Feet Slipper Race Ho Chi Minh City 2013 saw a good turn out of media and partners.

Organised by KOTO, the co-organiser for the first-ever slipper race outside of Singapore, and the first to be held in Vietnam, the media event was held on the morning of 30 January 2013 at KOTO Sai Gon Restaurant at 151A Hai Ba Trung, District 3 of Ho Chi Minh City.

Guests included representatives from the media including Saigon Liberty, Saigon Times, Tuoi Tre (Youth Newspaper), Vietnam News, Saigon Entrepreneur Weekend (magazine), Education, The Labour, Muc Tim (Teenager magazine), TTXVN (Vietnamese central news agency).

Partners present included District 7 Sports Centre (co-organiser of this edition of the Slipper Race in Ho Chi Minh City) and Mobivi – provider of payment solution for the slipper race via their The Tinh Thuong (“Love Card” – a charity donation scratch card)

Also present to share their causes were Ms Le Thi Thu, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Association for Protection of Children Rights (VAPCR), and Ms Ha My, Deputy CEO of Loreto Vietnam Australia Programme, and Mr Jimmy Pham, Founder and Executive Chairman of KOTO International. VAPCR, Loreto and KOTO are the appointed beneficiaries of the funds raised from this edition of the slipper race.
