If you’re joining us for the 2nd edition of Project Happy Feet Slipper Race 2012 on 4 November 2012 at 8am at East Coast Park, you may just be walking alongside our Team Singapore Olympian athletes!
Joining us for this non-competitive fund-raising walk are Team Singapore Shooter Jasmine Ser, Shuttler Derrick Wong, Gymnast Lim Heem Wei, and Para-Equestrian Maximillian Tan, all of whom represented Singapore at the recent London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games respectively.
Swapping their training shoes for a pair of slippers for that morning to join in the event are also athletes from the National Women Hockey team. As of 25 October, the atheletes joining us are Tan Koon Kim Cookie, Lam Xin Ni, Felissa Lai Shiqi, O Ming Fen, Laura Tan Si Ru, Chua Xinni, Lim Ooi Hong Joan Anne, Li Meixian, Chen Li Yuan, Nursabrina Banuh Bte Gofar, Ho Puay Ling, Lim Ju Hong Janna, Cheryll Chia, Jessie Teh Pui Fang, Sri Syazwani Bte Safii, Puteri Yasmin Bte Rahim, Suriati Bte Sonny, Gene Leck Yuan Jie, Phoebe Neo Yu Shan and Nurul Sofia Atikah. (We hear they may be dribbling a hockey ball along the way!)
