Happy Feet Travel
Arun Reatana is a professional explorer guide based in Siem Reap, Kingdom of Cambodia and is the first Explorer guide to lead a local chapter of Project Happy Feet.
Born in 1982 in the village of Salakanseng located in the western part of Siem Reap Province, Arun went on to complete his education in tourism at the National University of Management in Phnom Penh in 2002 and has more than six years of experience in the tourism industry.
By chance, he became the English-speaking guide for the pioneers of Project Happy Feet on their visit to the ancient ruins of Angkor Wat and when he learnt about Project Happy Feet, he immediately made a commitment to support the project by making a contribution from his earnings referred through Project Happy Feet and friends.
Arun will be helping to establish a strong and reliable network of professional explorer guides to provide explorer-guiding services in a variety of languages. The criteria for such guides to join this network are that they are professional, provide quality service and more importantly, act in integrity. They must be equally passionate to support Project Happy Feet through their work and other means.
Arun has five other siblings and currently resides with his family 8km from the heart of Siem Reap. He has an official guide license from the Ministry of Tourism, Kingdom of Cambodia.
