PHF makes footprint at Hewlett Packard’s Family Day

Thanks to PHF Volunteer Jackie Yong, who is Chairperson of HP’s Singapore Social Impact Committee in Hewlett Packard Singapore, Project Happy Feet had the opportunity to be part of the IT giant’s family day on 2 June 2012 at Sentosa, which saw a massive turn out of its employees and their families.

At the Project Happy Feet booth, which was right next to the HP Singapore Social Impact Committee’s, attendees of the event learnt more about Project Happy Feet and its upcoming Slipper Race on 4 November 2012 at East Coast Park, Singapore. Some even purchased ‘HAPPY’, the PHF Slipper Race 2011 race collectible and the Recipes from the Heart cookbooks. A total of $110 was raised at the event.

Apart from raising awareness about Project Happy Feet, PHF Volunteers and interns Feiying and Grace Goh managed to soak in some sun and fun as well.

“It poured really heavily at the beginning, and I was worried that no one would come to our booth, but then the sky cleared up and everyone had a great time,” recounted Grace. “The people at Hewlett Packard are really friendly. I enjoyed speaking to some of them about PHF and what we do.”

Project Happy Feet would like to thank Hewlett Packard for providing this platform for PHF to promote its cause.
